Bro. James was born November 21, 1959 in Gadsden County Florida to Horace and Nora James. He attended the public schools of Gadsden County and graduated in the top twenty of his class with an Academic Diploma. He furthered his education by attending Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Public Administration and a minor in Criminology. He has been employed by the Florida Department of Revenue for the past
21 years as a Field Agent III in the Compliance Enforcement Section. Recently, Bro. James accepted the position of Property Manager with the Gadsden County Public School Board Comptrollers Office.Bro. James has a passion and love for helping those who are disadvantage. He is an advocate of community service and involvement and is very active in seeking ways to assist those who are less fortunate. Since the age of fourteen Bro. James had the desire to become a Mason and in 1982 his dream became a reality. Bro. James is a proud member of the following Prince Hall Affiliated organizations; Calvary Lodge No. 389; President –District No. 10 Past Masters Council, Oak City Chapter No. 142 – OES; Calvary Chapter No. 120, Holy Royal Arch Mason – (King); - District No. 10 Past Masters Council; Oak City Consistory No. 66 – (Past K of S&A, 11 years); Thrice Potent Master; AL Rankim Temple No. 142- A.E.A.O.N.M.S; Grand Inspector General-G. Wesley Allen Class of 1995. Bro. James set precedent by being the first Brother from District No. 10 to be elected to a Grand Lodge position. He has served as, Grand Senior Deacon, Grand Junior Warden and presently serves as Grand Senior Warden, Jurisdiction of Georgia.
Bro. James is a member of Palace A.M.E. Church and serves as Trustee Pro Tem; Past President - Senior Choir.
Bro. James is married to DeBorah Flanders James and they have two children, TeAndra and Bruce II. His hobbies are deer hunting, bass fishing, playing bid whist, learning new poems, softball, writing, swimming (certified water instructor), riding four-wheelers, dancing, meeting new people and socializing with friends.
