On April 7th, 2012, the Brothers of Villa Rica Lodge No. 584 along with the Sisters of Villa Rica Chapter No. 138 hosted their second annual Easter Egg Hunt at Gold Dust Park in Villa Rica, GA. The diverse crowd of attendees were very appreciative of the free food and games that were provided. A good time was had by all and the event was a huge success. As we continue in our quest to provide service to our community, this event is one of the ways Villa Rica Lodge and Chapter will give back to the West Georgia Area each year.

35 Years of Service-Gold Card Presentation

Lewis Hayden Lodge No. 6

At our regular scheduled communication on 8 February 2012, the brothers of Lewis Hayden Lodge #6 had the honor and privilege to present Past Master J.B. King with his “GOLD CARD” and his 35 year certificate. PM Jerome Williams made the presentation, as that he was the Worshipful Master when PM J.B. King became eligible to receive these honors.

It is in the finest traditions and standards to recognize brothers for their dedication and continued service. Past Master J.B. King is indeed a true pioneer that was traversed the Mosaic pavement and continues to share his knowledge and guidance as a Man and a Mason is inspirational to all the brothers of Lewis Hayden #6, the 4th Masonic District and the Jurisdiction of Georgia.

In continuing with the traditions of freemasonry which encourages good men to become better men by promoting a life dedicated to high ideals, community service, and benevolence; Lewis Hayden Lodge #6 is committed to community service by participating in our monthly BINGO night with the residents of Muscogee Manor Nursing home in Columbus, GA.

We provide the residents with pizza, sodas, prize money and an all out good time playing BINGO. We have the support of other Lodges and OES Chapters in the 4^th Masonic District. The brothers and sisters enjoy spending time with the residents of Muscogee Manor and have just as much fun at BINGO night. The residents and the Activities Coordinator of Muscogee Manor have expressed how much they look forward to us coming the first Tuesday night of every month to have our BINGO night.

Lewis Hayden’s commitment to community service is diligent and we look forward to a very rewarding year.

The Hourglass Lodge No. 113 Free and Accepted Masons Prince Hall Affiliated presented the 1st Annual Arthur Simpson Memorial Scholarship to Marcus A. Williams for outstanding academic excellence and community service on 18 July 2011 at Long County High School in Ludowici GA. The $500.00 Scholarship was presented to Marcus by Worshipful Master Ray S. Pack Sr. He will use the scholarship towards a Business Administration degree at Georgia Military College.

The scholarship is in honor of the late Past Master Arthur Simpson affectionately known as
